In the Novation tradition the MIDI specification on the Supernova / Supernova Pro allows for real-time transmission and reception of Continuous Controller information. This means that the live “tweaking” of controls during performance, which is particularly appropriate for analogue sounds, can be recorded into a sequencer along with the notes played and the entire performance recreated on playback. Bulk dumps of individual Programs, Program Banks, Performances, Performance Banks, Arp patterns and Global data can be sent or received allowing libraries and backups to be made.
